The City of São Paulo went to court to charge the debt of IPTU (Urban Property and Territorial Property Tax) for 2014.
To the panel, the Attorney General’s Office said on Tuesday (29) that Doria was notified and that the original amount due, of R $ 725,407.01, is R $ 812,455.85, after interest.
The property, located in Jardim Europa, was built on a land of 7,031 square meters, and its venal value is R $ 14,893,587.
In the tax enforcement action, of 16 April this year, the city asks Doria to pay the updated total debt with interest and monetary correction, as well as costs, court expenses and attorney’s fees, within five days, under penalty of attachment of assets or blockade of money.
Doria, who has not yet manifested in the action, admitted in a statement to the column that there may have been a lapse and is arranged “to, if applicable,” pay off the debt.
“We inform that there was, in 2014, the unification of two land. This process may have caused, unintentional, a lapse related to the payment of a remaining IPTU balance, which was not of our knowledge so far,” says Doria, who was ahead of the city between 2017 and 2018.
“We emphasize that we have several properties in the same region, all with expressive property tax values, which are strictly paid off. Our commitment to fiscal regularity remains unchanged,” concludes Doria.
