The Federal University of Acre (UFAC) will have a budget of R $ 510,287,298 in 2025, an increase of 4.41% compared to last year. The increase represents R $ 68.8 million more than the R $ 441,460,417 received in 2024. The data are in the budget law sanctioned this month by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Despite the readjustment, the analysis of the transfer to federal universities in the northern region reveals that these institutions continue among those receiving less resources from the Ministry of Education (MEC), when compared to other regions of the country.
In the ranking of northern federal federal universities, the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) leads with R $ 1,723,775,178. Then appears the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam), with R $ 969,203,950. UFAC occupies the third position, with just over R $ 510 million.
