Prepare the heart, because this list came straight from time where tablets and cell phones did not even exist in a dream
If you were born before Wi-Fi and survived the dial-up internet, you know the fun in the 80’s was root. No tablets, apps, or 10 million views – we had the party with pile -powered toys, imagination and sometimes even a little frustration.
Then prepare the heart (and affective memory), because we will remember 6 iconic 80’s toys that have shaped an entire generation – but today children have no idea what they are. Come with us on this time trip!
6 80’s toys that marked an entire generation and today children don’t even know:
1. Falcon
With brave face, well made beard and plastic muscles, Falcon was the hero of every room rug. Dangerous missions? Rescues on imaginary land? Fights against invisible villains? He did everything – usually before lunch.
Those who did not have the original may have played with the commands in action, a leaner version, but also guaranteed many epic adventures between the couch and the foot of the shelf.
2. Think well
Before his first notebook, there was a thought. In 1987, he looked like a laptop, but it was another kind of 8 -bit crab with little questions.
You read the statement, chose the answer, and expected robotic wisdom to decide your destination with unmistakable electronic sound. If it was wrong, it was that “BIIIIIP” of disappointment. If it got it right, I wanted to get up and celebrate the same goal in the World Cup final.
3. The patinadora
“There, lé, I read, Lot… Lu Skating!” – If you hummed this, congratulations: Your birth certificate delivered you.
With shock pink clothes, yellow helmet and a clumsy floor that looked more like a birthday party in the home hall, Lu was the 80’s girl power symbol. Too bad the batteries always ended up in the best part of the show…
4. PlayMobil vs Lego
If today there is Marvel x DC, in the 80s the rivalry was Playmobil x Lego. Playmobil fans preferred the ready -made kits: pirates, circus, castles – everything was mountain, it was just going to action.
The devotees of Lego wanted total creative freedom. They set up castles, spaceships and even their own brother left. They just had to be careful: those pieces on the floor were worse traps than those of Tom and Jerry.
5. genius
Four buttons, four colors and a simple goal: repeat the flashing sequence. Genius was the terror of anxious children. With each round, harder, faster, more pressure. It was like a college entrance exam of children’s memory.
And when did you make a mistake in the last second? The heart even hurt. But deep down, we loved the challenge. After all, it wasn’t every day you could feel a hacker with only little lights and electronic sounds.
6. Aquaplay
Did the batteries end? No problem: Aquaplan, the most Zen of the 80’s toys came into play.
Just push the button, control the pressure and cheer for the ringlets to hit the pins. All in slow motion. All without guarantee of success. But when I got it right… oh, it was like winning an invisible prize of skill and persistence!
