Cycling is not only healthy, but also brings common experiences, knowledge and relaxation. We do not have to race immediately to enjoy the victory in the form of our own goal. But we also have to remember that movement on and outside the road has its rules. It is simply not possible without them.
Just get on – and go. No fuel buying, no battery recharging (or yes, according to your personal preferences). It seems like a life without rules, but it’s not quite true. In order not to forget the basic principles of cycling, it is good to remind them from time to time, whether you are cycling a day or exceptionally. It is nothing less than your own safety and consideration for others.

An adult is to have reason (and helmet)
Do you wear a helmet while riding a bike? You may be an objection that you are an adult long ago and this obligation in our country only applies to young people under 18 years of age. But this is not just about laws and compliance. Let us try to keep common sense and think about whether we will pride the landscape without a helmet (after all, we are not “children” long ago), or we will protect our health and in some cases even life. Just a small stone on the way so that even the most experienced cyclist ends up on the ground.
The right way is just one
Who decided on the helmet took a very right step. But it is equally important to fix it on the head. The straps should always form the letter “V” under the ears and must not be looser under the chin than on the two fingers that can be inserted under them. We do not want to wear a helmet only for great, its main task is to protect your head with any carambola. If it hit the ground separately, it was unnecessary to buy it.
You go on a trip, not to the theater …
We protected our head, but we need to prevent other possible accidents that can arise when the cyclist is not sufficiently visible. Therefore, do not forget the reflective elements, lights and other small things that will make a unmistakable object on the road. Let us also remember that black clothing is a ticket to a problem area, it is not just aesthetics, although you may just look the most, but literally life. The sooner the passenger driver notices you, the greater the hope of missing you without a carambola.
Should a driver’s license be a bike?
Even though we go “just” by bike, we are as part of the road traffic as much as any other. Also for cyclists, traffic signs, traffic lights, right hand rule, priority in driving – almost everything like for drivers of a motor vehicle. Unfortunately, we do not have to have a driving license for the bike, so people go to the roads by these laws completely unreliability. Before you set out on the first trip or let go of your child, learn about the rules of road traffic consistently. This time, you will not be rehearsed by any commissioner, but life himself.
Basic principles will save you life
Let us recall at least the basic principles: where there is a cycle path, the cyclist belongs here and nowhere else. Only children under the age of ten may be on the sidewalk, and if you set out on a group trip, you need to go out of each other, not side by side. You talk about your experiences at the first stop, not along the way.
Technical condition of the wheel
Just as a cyclist does not have to have a driver’s license, even his bike does not have to go through a technical inspection. However, this does not mean that, as a means of transport, it does not apply to any requirements that would have to meet. In particular, functional brakes, lights (white front, red at the front), and for sure it also sufficient tire pressure.

Take a journey with joy, expectation, but also with respect to operation around you. Remember that motorists are surrounded by a sheet, they are faster, have engines to help.
