May 1 event organized by trade unionists received 3 ministers; Lula did not attend to avoid wear
The Minister of Labor, Luiz Marinho, attended the act of Labor Day organized by union centrals this Thursday (1st.MAI.2025). The head of the portfolio attributed the emptying of the event to a movement of “Return” by the organizations.
“I think the centers are in a process of resumption. Today it was not an audience that they were used to doing in the past. Of course I believe the structural capacity of mobilization was not the same as they had in the past, all this is part of a process,” said the minister.
In addition to Marine, the ministers Cida Gonçalves (women) and Márcio Macêdo (General Secretariat) were present. The event is held in the field of Bagatelle, in the North Zone of São Paulo, and promoted by the Union Centrals Força Sindical, UGT, CTB, CSB, New Center for Workers and Public.
“I’m sure next year can have more [público] that this year, and in 2027 may have more than 2026, and so onsaid Marinho.
The President (PT) does not participate in the act. This is the first time he has not participated in the acts of Labor Day since the beginning of his current term.
The petista wants to avoid political wear and tear of being present at an event that will probably be emptied. The decision, however, gained greater weight after the revelation of fraud in the INSS.
