The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, reiterated on Wednesday that the Ukrainian forces were expelled from the Kursk region, where some military entrenched in hiding places and “basements” are still. “We have expelled the enemy from the Kursk region, but there are still entrenched people in some holes, in some basements. We listen to what they say and ask to be evacuated (…) that is impossible,” Putin said during an act at the Museum of Victory. He added that these are separate groups of “two or three people” that are “completely isolated.” As stated by the Kremlin Chief, the Russian command has offered the entrenched enemy forces in Kursk to surrender, while some soldiers have already been arrested. When commenting on relations with Europe, the Russian leader said that in the old continent there are many people who share the position of Russia. “Some are silent, others say something very timidly to make a lot of noise,” he said. Although there are also “they have the audacity to express their point of view” despite the “pressures of the authorities.” In particular, he said that some French people who fight “elbow elbow” with Russian forces participate in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said that Ukrainian troops continued to carry out “defensive actions” in some Kursk areas.
