The tariffs have brought Apple’s head since Donald Trump returned to the White House. The results of the first quarter of the natural year, however, reflect an acceleration in the growth of the company, both for the strength of its service business and, apparently, for the anticipation of purchases in fear of a price increase. In its second quarter of the fiscal year, closed on March 29, the company registered revenues of 95,359 million dollars (about 84.5 billion euros to the current exchange rate), which represents an increase of 5% compared to the previous year. The benefit also grew 5%, to 24,780 million dollars.

“Today Apple presents solid quarterly results, which include a two -digit growth in the services,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, in a statement. “We are delighted to welcome the iPhone 16E to our range and to present new and powerful Mac and iPad that take advantage of the extraordinary capabilities of the Apple silicon. In addition, we are proud to announce that we have reduced our carbon emissions by 60% during the last decade,” he added

“The results of the quarter of March promoted a growth of the benefit per share of 8% and an operating cash flow of 24,000 million dollars, which has allowed us to return 29,000 million dollars to the shareholders,” said Kevan Parekh, financial director of Apple. “In addition, thanks to the high levels of fidelity and satisfaction of our customers, our installed base of active devices has reached a new historical record in all categories of geographical products and segments.”

The Apple Board of Directors has approved a dividend of $ 0.26 per share, which represents an increase of 4%, to be paid on May 15. The company has also authorized an additional program to repurchase up to 100 billion dollars in ordinary shares of the company.

Donald Trump’s commercial policy has damaged the quote of the technological giant in the stock market, although the president of the United States granted an exception to computers, tablets and telephones for 125% tariffs that imposed imports from China in general.
