Coach Simone Inzaghi was pleased with the 3-3 draw against Barcelona away from the Champions League semifinal. However, Inter’s good performance was overshadowed by physical problems.
The Italian team coexists with questions for the return game ,. Defender Pavard was already out of ankle injury, and Lautaro Martínez left the match with pain in his thigh.
“Lautaro felt something in the leg and we will take exams tomorrow, but it seems extremely unlikely that he throws the return, which will be like a final for us,” Inzaghi told Movistar Plus.
“Pavard may return, but with Lautaro is difficult. I count with 75,000 fans to push us towards this extraordinary feat,” said Inter Milan coach.
Dumfries minimizes a draw after wasted advantage
The defender Denzel Dumfries, who avoided mourning. Barcelona managed to react twice to ensure the draw.
Despite the result, Dumfries highlighted the team’s spirit after a difficult phase, with three straight losses – two in Serie A and against Milan.
“I think we played a good game. After bad results, we saw the real Inter again, playing with the heart, and I’m very proud of it,” he told Prime Video.
