The “Plan B” is preparing for financial sanctions against it if the Trump government abandons the negotiations to end the war in Ukraine and seeks approach with Moscow, European diplomat’s leader Kaya Kalas told Financial Times today.
“We see indications that (the US) are considering and not trying to secure an agreement with the Russians because it is difficult,” said EU High Representatives on foreign and security policy.
“There is a B plan, but we have to work on plan A. because otherwise, if we focus on Plan B, (inevitably) this will happen,” Callas told the FT, adding that talks with Washington and other partners are continuing to ensure that the West are maintained.
