Dmitri Medvedev has reacted Thursday that the Agreement of Minerals and Rare Earths signed between the United States and Ukraine, which he defined as “a country that disappears.” For the Russian president it means that kyiv will have to pay for US military assistance with the country’s mineral wealth.
“But Trump finally beat the kyiv regime to pay for US help with useful minerals. Now military supplies will have to pay with the national wealth of a country that disappears, “Medvedev reported on his Telegram channel, in what is the first reaction in Russia to the agreement.
The agreement signed between the United States and Ukraine for the joint exploitation of Ukrainian minerals had been negotiating for many weeks and has been the reason for tense disputes, disagreements and hard reproaches between both parties.
The negotiation has two iconic photographs: one of the anger in the oval dispatch among the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, and another in the Vatican, during the funerals of Pope Francis, with the same interlocutors speaking sitting in two chairs put improvisedly.
