May is one of the most beautiful months in the garden – everything blooms, and gardening works are gaining momentum. It’s the perfect time to take care of the vegetable garden, discounts, but also planting strawberries. If you dream of your own fruit straight from the bed, don’t miss this opportunity.
It turns out that spring planting is even better than autumn. Plants planted from the end of March to mid -May issue the most numerous crops. Why is this happening?
In spring, the temperatures are mild, and there is natural moisture and the ground. Thanks to such conditions, young seedlings will quickly and effectively root. From March to May there is no question of drying out plants. The risk of developing diseases will also be minimized.
Therefore, these plants will manage to release fruit. However, remember to choose the right varieties for planting, i.e. “Kimberly, “Elsanta”, “Tukat”, “Polka”, “Florence”, “Florence”, “Florence”. So how do you plant these strawberries?
We plant specimens in a sunny and airy place. Thanks to this position they will be large, juicy and sweet. We choose for them light, humus soil with a slightly acidic reaction (the pH should be from 5.5 to 6.5). Earlier we must remove the weeds from the ground.
Strawberries are best planted, maintaining a distance of about 30 cm between individual plants. Rows should be arranged every 50-70 cm to provide them with adequate space for growth and facilitate care. Such a system promotes healthy development of bushes and abundant yields.
In order to limit the development of weeds and stop moisture in the ground We recommend mulching the discount. We use straw or bark for this.

Fertilization is an important procedure when growing strawberries. We need to watch the terms of this procedure to get the best yields. So when to feed these plants and what?
The first power supply is carried out just before planting specimens. We use organic fertilizer, i.e. compost or biohumus.
The second fertilization should be performed during the growth of specimens, i.e. 4-6 weeks after planting. Then we use multi -component fertilizers with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
The last time we fertilize strawberries after the fruiting to support plant regeneration. Remember, however, not to overwhelm them with nitrogen nutrients, because then the specimens will have green, large leaves, but small fruits.
