A Military Police Major died on Wednesday (30) after being shot at a gas station. The case happened in São Luís, Maranhão. The Civil Police are investigating the case as a murder.
The agent was identified as Major André Felipe, 35. The man joined the Military Police at age 18 and was graduated in the law course. In addition, the major was part of the military office of the State Legislative Assembly.
The security cameras of the gas station recorded the moment when André’s car was parked on the side of the road, when two men arrived on a motorcycle. The major even descended armed from the vehicle and shot the bad guys.

According to the Secretariat of Public Security, a task force, integrated by the Civil Police, the Military Police and Intelligence is conducting steps to collect elements that contribute to the clarification of the crime.
In a note of regret, the state deputy, Dr Yglésio, regretted the loss of the member of the PM, highlighting his solidarity to André Felipe’s family.
“It is unacceptable that professionals who dedicate their lives to the protection of the population are subjected to a state of increasing violence, which erodes the sense of security and imposes fear even to those who should be guardians of the order,” said the deputy.
Security forces are mobilized to identify, locate and arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
