São Paulo Deputy Governor states that head of the state executive “likes to do things well” and that presidential candidacy would have to be defined in advance
The deputy governor of São Paulo (PSD), said on Thursday (1st.MAI.2025) that the governor (Republicans) would not accept to replace the last minute the former president (PL) in a possible presidential dispute in 2026.
According to Ramuth, Tarcisio “Likes to do things well”. He stated that an application replacement, as happened with (farm) and the president (PT) in 2018, would not be accepted by the governor of São Paulo.
“If we make a parallel as it happened to Lula back there, which took his candidacy until the final days and when he was found by the Electoral Court that he could not participate, Haddad enters. And knowing the profile of Tarcisio, that he would not accept.”Ramuth said in an interview with CNN.
Bolsonaro is ineligible until 2030. However, the former president said he will run for presidency next year.
Also according to Ramuth, the goal of Tarcisio is reelection in São Paulo, which, according to him, would be “Well forwarded”.
