Already next week, 4,579 immigrants will be notified to leave Portugal in a voluntary. This number of notifications is higher than all annual records since 2020; That is, in a week there are more notifications than over a whole year.
Have, at most, 20 dias to leave on their own initiative. If they do not go voluntarily, then they go through a process of expulsion.
It is estimated that, in the coming weeks or months, about 18 000 immigrants are deported.
The analysis of the mission structure found that, among the 18 000 requests for residence authorization, there were immigrants with criminal registration, others had been in another country irregularly, and others did not have all mandatory documents.
If AIMA confirms all these refusals, all these immigrants will be deported soon.
