The authorities of the province of the land of the fire in the south called for the inhabitants of the Puerto Almansa community to abandon it “for preventive reasons” as it meant to the area that hit it.
About 100 inhabitants of the village should “evacuate the belt and move to safer areas” with higher altitude. They should also stop any kind of activity, fishing or otherwise, in the Beagle Fire, until 21.30 (Greek time) the local administration reported in its post.
In neighboring Chile, authorities have called for the evacuation of the coasts of the province of Magiani, at the southernmost tip of the country.
