Gay novel with Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor gets first images; look

The first images of “The History of Sound” (still untitled in Portuguese) were released by Mubi on Friday (2). The romance is About to debut at the Cannes Festivalwhich happens between May 13 and 24.

In the competition for the Golden Palm, the title is an adaptation of Ben Shattuck’s tale and follows the relationship between Lionel and David, two students from the New England Conservatory during World War II.

The production is starring an Oscar -nominated actor (“” and and (“The Crown” and “”). The direction is from the South African filmmaker Oliver Hermanus.
