Haddad starts travel to the US to publicize national data centers plan

The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddadstarts this Saturday (3) trip to California, in the United States, to publicize the National Data Centers Plan.

Haddad’s first public commitment in US territory will be on Sunday (4), when she participates in a private dinner with international investors offered by the Milken Institute. At the time, the focus of the Chief of Economic Folder should be an overview of the US economy.

In the schedule of the trip, there are schedules in Los Angeles and San Jose, USA, and Mexican capital.

The purpose of the trip will be to attend the Global Milken Institute conference, which will be held next Monday (5) in Los Angeles. Among the subjects Haddad intends to address are COP30Brazilian and global economy.

The minister will take advantage of the trip to promote the National Data Centers plan. The new milestone is expected to be launched by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) this month. The initiative provides for tax incentives, legal certainty and specific rules for the sector.

In addition, they stand out among the commitments provided for in the US Bilateral meetings with Ruth Poat, Google CFO, and with Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia. A bilateral meeting with Amazon executives is also scheduled.

Haddad meetings with Nvidia and Amazon should be concentrated on the theme of data centers, as found in CNN. The agenda with Google should be broader, including regulatory issues.

During the trip, the minister will also participate in a breakfast that is being organized by Amcham Brasil. The meeting is expected to bring together Brazilian businessmen and representatives of the main US economic groups.

After agendas in the US, Haddad will go to Mexico City, where he will meet with Edgar Amador Zamorra, secretary of the country’s Finance and Public Credit. The meeting focuses on deepening bilateral relations between nations. Haddad only returns to Brasilia on May 8.
