The name of the Portuguese coach has been appointed by the media as a hypothesis to succeed in the Brazilian team Dorival Júnior, who was fired in late March, after the defeat against Argentina (4-1), in the South American qualification for the 2026 World Championship.
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus said on Saturday that the two years he spent at Al Hilal, from the Saudi Football League, were “historical achievements” and “immense pride”, in a message published in his official social networks.
“It was two years of total delivery, historical achievements and immense pride for leading an extraordinary group. Thank you, Al Hilal. Thank you to all of this unforgettable path. I take every victory, every challenge and every applause in the heart,” reads Jorge Jesus on Instagram.
Jesus, 70, was fulfilling the second season at Al Hilal, who, after having sacred champion last season, follows five points from leader Al Ittihad, five journeys from the end of the championship.
This was the second passage From the Luso coach at the Riade Club, after the first experience between June 2018 and 2019, before the remarkable route in the Brazilians of Flamengo, the return to Benfica and the Turkish experience at Fenerbahçe.
