Bread with butter is just a safe bet. Salt it, add jam, slice of salami, cheese, or do you have another custom you brought from your childhood? Whatever it is, the butter should still be at home. The good news is that it will last very long in the freezer.
To avoid having to buy butter too often, it is – especially at today’s prices – to buy it in action more cubes and keep it for next weeks. But how to keep fresh? Simply take advantage of the freezer, you just have to watch out for the basic rules that will lead to a perfect result. This way you will not throw a bit of this precious raw material.

Fat, vitamins and other useful substances
The butter contains mainly milk fat, which should be around 82 %. Then there are proteins and a little water. That is why butter is also a rich source of fat -soluble vitamins, ie vitamins A, D, E, K. We certainly remember from school, when we added “Z” before the first letter. Then it made sense and we remembered everything well. But now back to butter that contains much more, for example, the body beneficial saturated fatty acids.
Easy but important rules
If we want to freeze the butter, we have several options – either we will store the whole cubes in the freezer, or we divide them into smaller pieces, which is reasonable when it is a household where butter is not quite the center of attention and one cube is enough for a long time. If you decide to cut it, do not forget to wrap each piece either in food foil or aluminum foil. Be careful to seal everything as much as possible.
Store everything in a bag or bowl
Just put the served portions in a closable bag, or in a container that is suitable for use in the freezer. This will be all you have to do. Put everything in the freezer and you will be sure that nothing will happen to butter.
Feel free to nine months at the ice
If you follow all the rules (and does not fall out of electricity), the butter will remain usable without losing taste and quality for the next nine months. Once you decide to use it, it will be enough to remove its part from the freezer and let it slowly thaw it in the fridge overnight. You can also speed up this process at room temperature, but forget about the microwave in this case.
How do you know quality butter?
Do you love good butter? Then you may buy it from smaller manufacturers rather than in a supermarket. Have you also noticed that it can have a different color? If it is yellowish, you do not have to worry about it – on the contrary. Such butter is of better quality and its color shows enough carotene, which had cows available mainly due to free grazing or quality feeding. Even such butter can be frozen, do not worry, you will not hurt him.
