How to grow strawberries on a small space

If you don’t have a flower bed, it doesn’t matter. Just an ordinary pot with a diameter of at least 15 cm, in larger you can fit two seedlings. Instead of spreading strawberries all over the garden, you can leave them upwards, for example in multi -storey pots or hanging constructions. Thanks to this you will use even the smallest corner of the balcony or terrace.

If you do not have space on the wall or railing, you can reach for hanging pots or special growing bags, and grow strawberries by letting them hang down. The strawberries have long stems that naturally hang down, and also create shoots that you can later use for further multiplication. This way of growing not only saves space, but also gives your space an interesting visual element. Hanging baskets and so -called “inverted” pots, where the plant hangs upside down, are a practical and stylish solution for everyone.

Another option is the so -called strawberry tower. It is a high cylinder in which the holes for individual plants are cut on the sides. This design can hold up to several dozen seedlings without taking more than a piece of space on the ground. For a smaller household one tower is sufficient, a larger family can choose two. Whether you decide to buy a finished tower or make it at home from a PVC tube, you will get an efficient and space -saving way to grow a rich harvest without a large garden.
