During the last TV debate of the candidates, a stranger on the Polymarket platform put 40,000 euros on the fact that Victor Ponta would become Romania’s new president. In the US elections last autumn, bets on Donald Trump were already completed on Polymarket. In fact, Ponta has a chance to get second place next Sunday at the first election behind the favorite George Simion and thus into the runoff election on May 18.
