Tennis player Aryna Sabalenka beat the WTA 1000 from Madrid on Saturday (3). With victory over American Coco Gauff, the Belarus athlete remains in the lead in the WTA ranking.
At 26, Sabalenka reached the 20th trophy of his career and the third of the season.
The WTA ranking leader has over 3,000 points of vice-leader, Polish Iga Swiatek. The distance represents a title of Grand Slam (2,000 points) and another of WTA 1000 (1,000), the two most important series of the female circuit.
Sabalenka hit Gauff for 2 sets at 0 in what was her third title in the Spanish competition – she had won in 2021 and 2023. With this victory, she reaches the third trophy of the season.
She beat Brisbane Open in January and Miami Open in March. He was also runner-up at Australian Open and Indian Wells.
The 26 -year -old tennis player pockets an award of 8 million euros ($ 51 million) with the victory.
