The benefit gives prosecutors one day off every three days worked, limited to seven days a month, “due to the performance of the duties of the position under excessive service conditions.”

Thus, they were already entitled to the salary ceiling of the Supreme Ministers (R $ 46,400), instead of the Paulista ceiling, which is the governor’s salary (R $ 34,600). In March, 575 prosecutors had a gross salary higher than the STF ministers, although the average net remuneration paid to the category was about R $ 40,200.
Marco Antonio Carvalho Teixeira, from the Center for Public Administration Studies and Government of FGV (Getulio Vargas Foundation), points out that the central point of the legislation implemented by Tarcisio is to prioritize a category that already has remuneration above other careers.
“The decision ends up reinforcing an inequality character in the treatment of categories, especially in a category that is fundamental to governability,” he told the Sheet.
“As much as the impact on the payroll is not large, it is a resource that can be missed when the government claims it has no money to meet other policies. These issues need to be more transparent,” he says.
The PGE commented on the issue by means of a note, saying that “the compensatory license, instituted by law, is granted to the performance of the duties of the position in situations of over -service”.
The note follows: “It is a variable requirement, calculated monthly based on indicators that consider, among other factors, the projection of work in the place of exercise, the complexity of activities, the peculiarities of the area of activity, the accumulation of attributions and collection, as well as participation in extraordinary public actions.”
The turbocharged in the salaries of the members of the PGE contrasts with Tarcisio’s fiscal austerity discourse. The governor launched last year a program called “São Paulo in the right direction”, which has an administrative reform among the flagships.

Last Wednesday (30), on the eve of the extended holiday, Tarcisio sent a bill that suggests a 5% increase in the categories of state civil service. The readjustment, however, is three times lower than the advance in the paychecks of the public advocacy summit.
