Justice determined a penalty of 10 months in open regime, converted into community services
Sociologist and influencer Thiago Torres, known on social networks as “USP Chavos”he was convicted of the court for publications made in 2021 against former mayor of Guarulhos Gustavo Henric Costa, Guti (PSD-SP). The decision was issued by Judge Patrícia Padilha of the 3rd Criminal Court of Guarulhos.

The magistrate understood that the publications exceeded the limits of freedom of expression. He determined that there were crimes against honor – injury and defamation, as argued by Guti in the lawsuit.
