Do not be 'fool': this paradise island has direct flights from Portugal to 30 € but the cost of living is high

With the ever-closer summer holidays, flights and accommodation research on traditional search engines multiply. However, cheap flights is not synonymous with low cost vacation. There is an island in the neighboring country that has direct flights from the airports of Lisbon and Porto to 30 euros during August, but there the price of daily a hotel in a star exceeds 200 euros and breakfast is not included.

Ibiza, one of the best -known Balearic Islands, has been traditionally associated with her endless parties and world -renowned discos. However, those who choose to explore deeper into this Mediterranean island discover a destination full of green landscapes, paradise beaches and crystal clear waters. Flights from Portugal to Ibiza cost 30 euros to the high time, however, the cost of living on the island is not accessible, especially in the summer months.

A new type of tourism after the pandemic

In the 1990s, Ibiza was consolidated as the center of the entertainment industry, attracting top DJs and events that marked the world calendar. However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought an unexpected change, with the closure of night spaces and a new search for family and nature tourism.

Even with the reopening of the nightclubs in 2022, the island did not stop betting on this new strand. Ibiza now has all the conditions to assert themselves as a destination where the beach, culture and nature live side by side.

Eivissa’s historic center: a ‘hidden treasure’

The city of Ibiza, located locally as Eivissa, is much more than the port of entry of luxury yachts. Its historic center, Dalt Vila, is one of the best preserved fortified cities in Europe and offers attractions that justify a time consuming visit.

One of the recommended activities is to walk along Ibiza Marina. Although Marina Botafoc is exclusive to vessel owners, the public accessible to the public offers “amazing views” about the old city, in the words of the blog authors.

We recommend:

From talamanca to the historical heart on foot

For those who are housed in the Talamanca area, it is possible to reach the historic center on foot in about half an hour, passing by Marina and, with luck, intersecting with yacked yaches of known figures, such as Cristiano Ronaldo.

Dalt Vila, or “High City”, deserves to be explored on foot, especially the imposing walls and the alleys that tell centuries of history. Along the way, visitors find typical neighborhoods and a vibrant nightlife that complements cultural experience.

Heritage Carthagin, Roman and Arab

Ibiza’s story is rich, with traces of Carthaginians and Romans. However, it was under Arabic rule that the city knew greater development, including the construction of the first fortifications and the port neighborhood. In 1235, the city was conquered by Catalan Christians, who reshaped existing fortifications. The remarkable preservation of the wall wall was crucial for the inclusion of Ibiza in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

One of Dalt Vila’s most iconic points is the door of Ses Taules. When crossing this monumental entrance, flanked by replicas of Roman statues and an inscription dated 1585, visitors are transported to another time.

Talamanca Beach: refuge in the city

For those who prefer to relax, Talamanca beach, located on the outskirts of Ibiza, offers a quiet alternative. With easy access, it is ‘ideal’ for sun and sea baths without the need for great travel. Already in the Natural Park of SES Salines you can find the famous beach des Cavallet, known for its beauty and diversity. The beach welcomes both families in the part of the parking and nudist supporters in more remote areas.

Far from stereotypes, Ibiza is today as an island with multiple facets. Between the night animation and the quiet nooks of nature and history, it proves to be a complete destination that continues to surprise its visitors. Still, if you go to Ibiza this summer, count over 200 euros a night, in a room for two people in a hotel of a star. The information can be consulted in the Booking search engine.
