How to grow your own bear garlic

For bear garlic you have two ways to grow it. The first is that you grow it from the onion. They are ideal to plant either at the end of the summer after blooming, but they can be planted now in the spring. When you drop the bear garlic during the end of August and early September, it will catch and embark on the roots faster. If you plant them in the spring, this process can take a little longer.

The second option is to grow bear garlic from seeds. This is a relatively light and more frequently used method. In this case, the seeds are ideal to plant in the greenhouse, roughly in the autumn. Or you can also wait until April until the last frosts and temperatures will increase, in which case the seeds can be planted outside in the garden. When you plant the seeds in the autumn in a padded greenhouse, you will have a potential harvest in the spring. If you plant seeds in the garden in April, you will have to wait about a year for harvesting.
