The World’s 50 Best Beaches published the lists of the best beaches in the world and also in Europe, where four Portuguese appear prominent. Know what they are.
There is little to the summer and the beginning of the bathing season. For sun and beach lovers, the Prepared the lists of the 50 best beaches in the world and also in Europe – with four Portuguese beaches featured.
The rankings were determined based on the votes of more than 1,000 professionals and influencers of the area. The beaches were evaluated according to eight criteria: Unique characteristics, wildlife, natural preservation, natural soundtrack, ease of access to water, calm conditions, absence of overcrowding and consistency of idyllic scenarios.
“For our ambassadors, jurors and team, the answer often boils down to natural beauty, a sense of tranquility and places that arouse an almost emotional response,” explains Tine Holst, co-founder of The World’s 50 Best Beachescited by
The 2025 world champion comes from Italy. THE Cala Goloritzéin Sardinia, occupies the first place on the podium, followed by the Entalula Beachin the Philippines, and Praia de bang baoon the Thai Island of Koh Kood.
A common feature of the three beaches is the environmental preservation effortthat “was a major factor in the creation of the ranking,” says Holst.
