Moisture, soap residues and insufficient ventilation create an ideal environment for deposits and molds. Short, five -minute cleaning every week will significantly reduce the deposition of new impurities.
Try the home trio: mix two tablespoons of soda with one tablespoon of vinegar and add 5-7 drops of tea tree oil. A foaming is a paste that penetrates the joints and softens the deposits. Leave for 10-15 minutes, scrub and rinse.
After cleaning, apply an impregnating agent to the joints. It creates a barrier that limits the penetration of dirt and fluids, making future cleaning easier.
Mold in the joints – not just an aesthetic problem
Mold in joints is a source of allergens and toxins that can cause respiratory problems. If you do not respond quickly, the mold will penetrate deep into the joints.
An effective combination is vinegar and steam. Spray vinegar on the joints and use a steam cleaner after five minutes. Hot steam increases the efficiency of the vinegar and disrupts the mold structure. After 10 minutes scrub, rinse and dry.
The second option is chlorine preparations. Mix one part of the bleach with four parts of water. Do not forget gloves, glasses and good ventilation.
The third solution is oxygen whitening agent, which is more gentle to the color joints. After mixing with warm water, it releases active oxygen, which brightens the joints and destroys fungi spores.
Yellow gaps in the shower – fight with minerals
The yellowish coating on the joints is often the result of depositing minerals from hard water. Wipe the joints with freshly squeezed lemon juice, leave for 15 minutes, rinse and dry.
The second culprit of yellowing is a soap film. Use a squeegee to remove excess water and cosmetics remnants after each bath.
If natural ways are not enough, try hydrogen peroxide with the addition of soda – this combination can do wonders with the most durable spots.
