The Public Security Commission of approved on Tuesday (22) project that gives priority to professionals to receive the DO, arguing that this would improve the motivation of these agents.
The text is by Senator Jayme Campos (União-MT) and now awaits the appointment of a rapporteur in the Commission on Economic Affairs.
In the Public Security Commission, the rapporteur was the Senator (Union-PR), who adjusted the bill to identify the professional categories that could receive priority treatment. The former judge’s report specifies that will have federal police priority, federal road police, civil police, military police, firefighters, municipal guards and criminal police at the federal, state and district spheres.
The text also includes official institutes of Criminalistics, Forensic Medicine and Identification, Senasp (National Secretariat of Public Security), State Secretariats of Public Security, the National Secretariat of Protection and Civil Defense), Senad (National Secretariat of Drug Policy), traffic agents, port guard, legislative police and agents of the socio -educational system.
In the justification for presenting the bill, Senator Jayme Campos pointed out a low rate of work at work and life satisfaction in the view of public safety professionals, “especially motivated by the perception of these professionals that society little recognizes their efforts and the quality of their work.”
The proposal, then, seeks to change the perception of public security professionals by giving them priority to receive the refund of income tax.
In his opinion, Moro stated that the project was a “fair measure of recognition of these professionals, who sacrifice themselves to save the lives of Brazilians in facing violence and crime.”
He also rejected that the text creates unequal treatment between taxpayers due to the professional occupation or function they performed and stressed that elderly and taxpayers whose largest source of income is the teaching of the teaching.
