Ministers of the 1st Class analyze receipt of PGR complaint against 7 more people; Remember the role of the accused
The Supreme Federal Court (STF) begins to judge this Thursday (6.MAI.2025) 7 more people are added to the list of defendants accused of forming a criminal organization to put an attempt at a coup in 2022 into practice.
According to the PGR (Attorney General’s Office), the disinformation nucleus was made up of the military and the Army Reserve, federal and 1 civil police. They would be responsible for articulating the spread of false information about the electoral process and conducting virtual attacks on institutions and authorities that threatened the group’s interests.

In March and April, the Court began a criminal case against 14 others, including the former president (PL) and former ministers Walter Braga Netto (Civil House and Defense), Augusto Heleno (Institutional Security Office), Paulo Sérgio Nogueira (Defense) and Anderson Torres (Justice).
They also became defendants oeo then orders Mauro Cid. All are accused of trying to enable Bolsonaro’s illegitimate permanence in power after defeat in the 2022 elections.
The lawsuit will be tried by the 1st class of the Supreme Court, formed by the rapporteur, Alexandre de Moraes, and the ministers Cristiano Zanin (president), Cármen Lúcia, Flávio Dino and Luiz Fux.
The board will decide until Wednesday (7.MAI) if there is evidence strong enough in the accusation to receive the complaint and make the involved defendants. If so, a criminal action begins against the nucleus. The 1st session will start at 9:30 am, the Monday at 14h and the 3rd at 9:30 am, if necessary.
An eventual conviction will be defined after the criminal instruction phase, with the hearing of witnesses, presentation of the theses of the defenses and the production of evidence.
The accused are denounced by crimes of armed criminal organization, attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup d’état, damage qualified by violence and serious threat against the union’s assets and deterioration of listed heritage.
