Companies gain space from the process of digitizing business in the field
The number of financial startups aimed at agribusiness grew 14% by 2024, compared to the previous year, according to the 5th edition of the Radar Agtech survey. Here is (PDF – 19 MB).
The research, conducted with the participation of Embrapa (Brazilian Agricultural Research Company), follows the evolution of AGTECHS (startups that use technology to innovate in agribusiness) since 2019.
The authors of the research mapped 97 financial startups aimed at agribusiness in 2024.
The advance was more significant among agtechs classified as “Before the gate” – What include categories such as credit, exchange, insurance, carbon credits and fiduciary analysis.
According to the research organizers, initiatives such as the fiast (investment funds in agro -industrial productive chains) and the digitization of CPRs (rural product certificates) and CRAS (agribusiness receivables certificates) have boosted this evolution.
Coordinator Luiz Ojima Sakuda points out that the digitization of the field and the expansion of connectivity are key factors for the advancement of startups. According to him, Brazil brings together two decisive elements: a sophisticated financial system and an agribusiness in constant modernization.
