The former governor of Ceará () stated that the president (PT) is responsible for the crisis of illegal discounts in retirement and pensions of (National Institute of Social Security) and used then-Minister of Social Security, as a fuse to contain the crisis.

The statements were made on Tuesday (6), in Fortaleza, in a press interview after a meeting with the opposition bench to the Government (PT) in the Legislative Assembly of Ceará.
At the meeting, Ciro appealed for the Union of Oppositions in Ceará and signaled support for the candidacy for the Senate of Bolsonarist State Representative Alcides Fernandes (). He is the father of federal deputy André Fernandes (PL), defeated in 2024 in the dispute for the City Hall of Fortaleza.
