Journalist and presenter José Luiz Datena, 67, was confirmed as the new host hired by RedeTV!, According to an official statement sent to CNN on Tuesday (6). He will present a new newscast at the station.
Datena had already passed Osasco TV in 2002 and will re -enroll from June this year. The journalist – which has no definite name – will have wide coverage of the main events of the day and service, with the particular way that marked the presenter’s career.
Last Friday, he introduced the “Tá no time” at SBT and talked to the “gossiping” hosts in a farewell tone. The moment caught the attention of viewers about a possible departure from the station founded by Silvio Santos. At the end of the newscast, Datena did not give her classic “until Monday”, which reinforced the farewell.
A native of Ribeirão Preto (SP), the journalist began his trajectory on the radio as a speaker and soon migrated to television, where he stood out in investigative reports and large journalistic coverage.
He arrived at Band in 1989 to join the sports team initially as a reporter and then as a narrator. In 1996, already on Record TV, he started to present police programs, becoming one of the most influential voices in the country. Throughout his career, he commanded national repercussion journalists, including the “City Alert” (Record TV), “Brazil Urgente” (Band) and, more recently, “Tá Na Hora” (SBT).
