Military units of China and other twelve countries will participate on May 9 at the military stop that will be held in the Red Square to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany, Kremlin reported today. The announcement was made in a press appearance by President Vladimir Putin for international affairs, Yuri Ushakov, who did not confirm the participation of North Korean soldiers. He said that, in addition to military, Chinese at the stop will participate uniformed from Egypt, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Belarus, Burma, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Tayikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Ushakov indicated that North Korea, whose troops helped Russia recover the territory under Ukraine control in the Russian border region of Kursk, will be represented in the military stop at the ambassador level. “But there will be an interesting meeting, which will find out later,” added the presidential advisor. The Kremlin also confirmed that war veterans from the United States and Israel will attend the stop as honor guests.
