The Rio de Janeiro Civil Police indicated three people for the death of Maria Luísa Oldembergasa 7 -year -old child who died in a condominium located in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the west of the capital. The accident occurred in March this year.

The indicted are Allan Dias Botelho da Silva and Pedro Fernandes da Silva, employees of the condominium maintenance sector, and Rosangela Menezes dos Santos, who was the condominium liquidator in 2020. They will respond for manslaughter.

According to a report, during the period when the condominium was without liquidator, Rosangela Menezes was the one who ordered the works, renovations and repairs to the maintenance team.

The investigations revealed that the pillar was part of the structure of the condominium rest area. The maintenance of the space, which included the exchange of pillar woods, was performed by the condominium maintenance team in December 2024.

The inquiry also pointed out that the construction of the pillar that toppled may have been made inappropriately, without the observance of technical standards and by employees without the necessary qualification.

The report indicates a possible neglect by Rosangela Menezes by not hiring a company or professional qualified for the execution of the work, even in the face of the need for qualified labor.
