EU Parliament wants to loosen climate controls for car manufacturers

Strasbourg-The EU Parliament wants to give car builders more time for climate obligations in the urgent procedure. A majority of MPs voted in Strasbourg for a corresponding urgency procedure. The legislative proposal stipulates that car manufacturers have to comply with emission regulations for new cars and light commercial vehicles for three years – instead of individually every year.
