One, two, three… How many clicks do we make before we shake our hands and the muscles on the abdomen begin to resist such exercise? We can try it right now, we just should not break a stick in the event that the result is not what we might have imagined.

It sounds like a simple task. Put your hands on the ground, stretch your legs, clench your belly… and click. But the second click is a bigger challenge and the third may prefer to stop thinking. The only thing that makes us mean is the gym lessons. How many clicks one should you actually handle? And is it supposed to accept one, or do you really really start training?

A test of fitness, not a school punishment

Unfortunately, many of us have settled the handles for good as childhood and adolescence. If you had to do them for bad grades or uninhabited dishes, you should thank your parents back. It is a very effective exercise for strengthening the upper half of the body – and also an indicator of physical condition. We have to involve both triceps and pectoral muscles as well as shoulders and abdominal muscles. All this in perfect interplay and balance. The click is not easy, but their number will tell us a lot about us – at any age. Those who can handle more clicks even, according to doctors, even have a lower risk of developing cardiovascular problems, including a heart attack.

This method of determining physical fitness was also dealt with by experts at Mayo Clinic. They divided the results according to the sex and age of people in the examined group and subsequently transferred them to the general level.

From their point of view, men in the third decade of their lives (between the age of 20 and 29) should handle at least 22 clicks, with 35 already taking as an excellent performance. In the fourth decade, 17 will be sufficient and 30 clicks, people in the category between 40 and 50 years are to make at least 13 clicks and over 25 successful attempts can congratulate. Between fifty and sixty, there are a minimum for good fitness of 10 exercises, twenty and more is an opportunity to celebrate. What about older men? They can settle for eight and at more than 15 they will belong to the group of Chosen, who are really good.

Women have a little lighter

Women, as in most sports disciplines, have a somewhat reduced bar, because their body is simply built. Therefore, in the youngest group from 20 to 29 years, numbers 15 apply as a minimum and 30 for praise, in the next ten years it is a normal performance between 12 and 25 handles, in forty 10 clicks and 20 indicates a very good condition of the body, while fifties should handle at least 7 exercises, 15 or more are excellent. Those who want to work in the sixties, which is of course more than right, can try as a minimum of 5 clicks, and if 12 or more, it can go with friends to celebrate.

Although the numbers are nice, we can follow them, but we must not take them as an unsurpassed dogma. Of course, it also depends on many circumstances, especially the overall training of the body. It should therefore be stated that it is a comparison of a conventional population without top athletes.

What handles should we try? According to the experts mentioned above, it does not matter if they are performed correctly. If you try the simpler ones only from the knees that mainly do women, or classic handles, when your legs are leaning only on the tips, you can always add each other successfully climbing to good. What if you did not succeed and the body just slid to the ground? Remember that even the fall is moving forward, just you need to get up again. With a little effort, it may be a little better next week.
