(Reuters)-Israel attacked the capital of Yemen, Sanaa, on Tuesday, reported TV Al-Masirah, directed by the Houthi group, while eyewitnesses reported four attacks after Israeli military warned the population to leave the area around the main airport.
The attack occurred after Israeli air strikes to Hodeidah’s Yemeni port on Monday, in response to a hissile Hurti that fell near Israel’s main air center.
The tensions increased between Israel and the hethis of Yemen, as the group aligned with Iran continues to launch attacks in response to the expansion of Israel’s operations in Gaza.
“Not withdrawn puts you in danger,” the Israeli military said in their warning. They published a map of the area around Sanaa International Airport.
Israel performed attacks near Hodeidah on Monday that killed four people and injured 39, according to the Ministry of Health, administered by the Houthis.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to retaliate after a missile launched by the Houthis fell near Israel’s Ben Gurion airport, which caused European and American airlines to cancel flights.
