The PDT bench in the House of Representatives announced on Tuesday (6) that will no longer integrate the government base Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT). The unanimous decision among party parliamentarians marks a movement of political removal after, amid allegations of fraud in the INSS.

The meeting of the bench on Tuesday was attended by Lupi, who reiterated not involvement in the fraud investigated at the INSS and defended his performance at the head of the ministry. According to him, there is no evidence of direct participation or omission in crimes found by the Federal Police and the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU).
The PDT’s decision launches a new shadow on the already unstable ruling base in Congress and can make Planalto’s articulations even make it even more difficult on sensitive topics, such as the economic agenda and the processing of proposals that require qualified majority.
