Russia raises the level of war with its invisible combat divers

Russian troops have released a new form of infiltration in the front: combat divers that sneak through rivers and channels without leaving thermal trace. The Ukrainian Unit Gostry Kartuzy has published a video in which you can see how a bomber drone locates and bursts one of these soldiers just after crossing an aquatic obstacle. He was not any infant. He had a neoprene and advanced training suit, which allowed him to move for hours without being detected by conventional sensors.

According to the specialized website this type of operations is a headache for Ukrainian defenders. The thermal cameras, which until now were key to monitoring the area, do not serve underwater. The Kremlin has begun to take advantage of that gap to strain its troops silently and avoid classical routes, already too dangerous because of Ukrainian drones.

The scene is no exception. In recent months, Russian units have tried to reach Ukrainian positions by water, but traditional methods have fallen out of favor. Aquatic motorcycles and fast boats have gone from being a solution to becoming easy. The coasts under kyiv control have become a slaughterhouse for everything that floats.

From the water motorcycle to the underwater stealth

The Russians have had to change tactics by force. They used water motorcycles and fast boats to approach the banks, but the Ukrainian FPV units have refined so much the aim that this method is no longer viable. The result: either they change, or do not arrive. So Moscow has thrown by stealth. The divers allow to move troops without attracting attention, but they also serve something else.

In addition to the direct assault, these soldiers can transport supplies – compassion, ammunition or technical material – in sealed containers. They could also perform engineering recognition tasks, raiding the land for future coordinated landings or attacks. All this without lifting a single drop of foam on the surface.

Militarny argues that the Russian high command would be trying to accumulate these types of troops little by little. It does not seek an immediate impact, but prepare the land for something greater. An underground war, but in aquatic version.
