Zhao Xintong crowns the first Chinese to become a Snooker world champion

The Snooker World Championship in Sheffield produced a new world champion on Monday evening: the Chinese Zhao Xintong, who cleared the world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan in the semi-finals, prevailed after two final days in Crucible Theater against Mark Williams with 18:12. The 28-year-old man from Xi’an is the first snooker world champion from Asia to enter the history books. In addition to the trophy, he receives a winning check of £ 500,000 (around 590,000 euros).
