Os 12 parties without representation In the Assembly of the Republic were, on Tuesday, in debate at.
In what was the last of pre-campaign television debate for early May 18 legislative elections, it was important to know what distinguishes these so-called “smaller” parties from those already in parliament.
This was precisely the initial suggestion of the moderator Carlos Danielwho asked each of the representatives to explain the essentials of the political proposal.
After all, what are different from parties with parliamentary seat?
ADN
Joana Amaral Diasof the DNA, it began by saying that it aims to denounce situations of the Portuguese society, such as the Assembly of the Republic becoming a place of crime.
Based on the example of the fall of the last governments-led by António Costa and Luís Montenegro-the candidate said that Portugal is a corrupt country.
During the debate, Joana Amaral Dias advocated to end abortions “without any clinical justification”, and “women out”, who come to Portugal to do these procedures.
“No more century for foreigners and immigrants, while there are Portuguese hungry or cold,” he said. “Portugal to the Portuguese and always the Portuguese first – this is the motto of DNA”
RIR
Márcia Henriques Rir says he is increasingly sure that the party he leads represents who is not yet represented. He wants to attract the indecisive, noting that his proposals put people at the center of concerns.
The candidate pointed to the lack of management in health and education – and suggests that those who make decisions cannot only look at the “business of some”.
About housing, laugh wants to act, at the same time both on the side of the offer – not castrating those who lease or sell home – and demand – increasing people’s income.
JPP
Filipe Sousa It made it very clear that the great mission of JPP “is Madeira and the Madeirans.” It’s for them that I am here. “
However, the Madeiran Party proposes to improve the living conditions of the Portuguese-“not only of the geographical islands, but of the islands that make up Portugal as a whole, like young people.”
New right
Júlio Gourgel Ferreira He stressed, early on, that the family must be the basis of society. However, he considered that families are today being crushed by the tax burden.
“This is an opportunity to change the paradigm,” he said. The new right prioritizes the rapid creation and distribution of wealth – and stated that it should always be given priority to Portuguese families
PCTP/MRPP
The already usual in these debates João Pinto He assumed that “there is nothing new to the proposals of the past.” The PCTP candidate stated that “what is to do is the communist revolution.”
Other of the party’s “absolute needs” is to cut with the EU. As for the defense: “If the country invests in war, education and health will be harmed.”
The candidate also proposes to eliminate all taxes that exist and create a single wealth tax – and not allow those who can pay taxes to run away.
Volt
Duarte Costa He stated that Volt is the party that truly represents the new politics class – with new energy and new ambition.
Always appealing a “political renewal, but to the center,” Duarte Costa explained that the party occupies the space between the PS and the PSD. The goal is to “bring a new party between the PS and the PSD, with a new political class (…) that means to reinforce the center without going to the extremes”.
Speaking of concrete health proposals, VOLT says that all people need guarantees that they have access to the NHS. And how to solve? “Valuing health professionals; continuous training and financed by the SNS; more decent working conditions; they propose that doctors tasfers (without specialty) can exercise at the most critical points,” he said.
Duarte Costa also highlighted Volt’s pro-Europe purpose, appealing the preservation of the EU.
Lift up
Rui Fonseca and Castro The debate began with an authoritarian tone, stating that the “Portuguese are being drained from their land, their streets, and their cities.” The former judge said that with him, “Lisbon will be alphacinha again.”
For health, the leader of Raudes proposes to “end idleness, RSI, support for immigrants and the LGBT community to better pay doctors”
Rui Fonseca and Castro said he also wanted to deport all immigrants who are not working, even if they are legal in Portugal.
MPT
Hélder Rodrigues It began by praising that the MPT (founded in 1993) is one of the founders of democracy. It also praised that it was the first party to talk about environmentalism and sustainable development.
This year, the party only applies in Madeira and the Azores; Since, on the continent and outside Portugal, it supports AD (although not part of the coalition).
The candidate spoke in Gross internal happinessto say that “the great wealth of the country is people, who have to live in a healthy environment” – and one of the party’s goals to influence ad in this regard.
PTP
Raquel Coelho From the PTP, which only competes in Madeira, said it is urgent to make a reflection of the state of the country, since April 25th to here. The candidate considered that PS and PSD have led the country to the complete degradation of the political system.
In Raquel Coelho’s view, people are moving away from politics because “they consider it to be a great mud, because there is the idea that politicians want to serve and do not want to serve the country.”
The purpose of the PTP is to criticize the political and judicial system – “there can be no lawsuits that originate elections and then there is no consequences,” said the Madeiran candidate.
Raquel Coelho also accused Alberto João Jardim of leaving an unnamed climate in Madeira, where “the PSD is a great octopus, with the help of economic power, and is already beginning to control the judicial power”
We citizens
Joaquim Rocha Afonso He pointed out that there is more elevation in this debate of the little ones than in the great – since, he considered, “the little ones propose sensible, concrete, objective, pragmatic solutions.”
“The” people “who have been misleading us so long has to put our hands on their conscience, because it is more than that unites them than that separates them,” added the candidate from us citizens, who “wants to change the system inside.”
Rocha Afonso complained, then, being boycotted by the entire media, considering that he has less opportunity to demonstrate that he leads a “different party (…) that is neither part of the left nor the right”
The citizen who gives equal opportunities to all: “There is a scary democratic deficit in Portugal (…) Constitution is not being fulfilled,” he said.
PPM
Paulo Estevão From the PPM (which this time was from the AD coalition), said it is a scandal in Portugal there are no compensation circles: “almost a quarter of the vows of the Portuguese is wasted.”
The candidate has always been very interventional and stressed to be a man of fights and causes: “I’ve done a 12 -day hunger strike.”
At the court, Estevão suggests regulating the anonymous complaints, which “are now a bandalheira”; as well as ending the listening “to the bucket (…) that reminds the Estado Novo”.
The PPM also proposes to reduce taxes in the interior of the country to attract/fix people.
PLS
José Cardosofrom the debutant Liberal Social Party (PLS), explained that the party’s strategy is based on five areas and 12 paradigmatic measures.
The former IL member highlighted as a priority to reinforce justice; renew the electoral system; Reform the school, dynamizing and boosting people to their potentiality “and not to memory”.
José Cardoso guarantees that the party constituted on March 11 (precisely the day the government has fallen) has a strategic vision for the country and less a sum of proposals, “which are already many.”
