Netflix said on Wednesday it plans to renew the interface of its TV application and introduce Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the iOS mobile platform, allowing users to research simple language content.
Updates come at a time when the streaming giant seeks to maintain and expand its market share amid growing uncertainties and concerns about a possible US recession that would reduce consumer spending.
Netflix is planning to reformulate the TV app’s homepage, provide more personalized recommendations to subscribers, and reposition search options and “my list” at the top of the interface to facilitate access.
In addition, Netflix is preparing to launch updates in its mobile experience in the coming weeks and test a vertical feed that shows clips from program and movies, allowing users to play to watch the full version.
The AI search option for mobile users will allow members to look for content using conversation phrases such as “I want something funny and excited.”
