7 of the 10 largest kits supply contracts are with English clubs; Barcelona and Real Madrid occupy the first 2 places
Sports supply contracts remain one of the main sources of revenue for European soccer clubs. The latest movements in the market reinforce the dispute between brands by the global domain of the sector.
The – Principal Championship of England – dominates the ranking: 7 of the 10 largest sports equipment supply contracts are with English clubs, favored by the audience and revenues of transmission rights. The exception among non-English is the Spanish-127 million euros and-120 million euros-that occupy the 1st and 2nd places in the global sponsorship ranking.
The new agreement with Adidas in March, valid from 2025, in the amount of 72 million euros per season – a jump of 14 million euros compared to the previous contract with, which paid 58 million euros per year.
Another highlight is Newcastle United. Driven the Saudi investment and recent achievements, the club signed with Adidas a 35 million euros contract per season – a 500% increase compared to Castore’s previous sponsorship – 5.8 million euros per season.
