Trump wants to expel Libya's immigrants from US, a black hole with human rights

The plans to expel a group of immigrants to Libya from an American military plane from the United States, as the newspaper reported this morning .

The nationalities of migrants have not been revealed, but a flight to Libya with those expelled could leave today, according to the medium that could talk to various officials. So far the plan of these flights has remained a secret and could still be frustrated by logistic, legal or diplomatic obstacles.

The conversations with the African countries – Arunda could be another deportation destination, according to local media, – respond to the executive order signed by Trump last January to achieve international agreements that allow shipping to third countries of asylum and immigrants applicants with criminal records.

El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama and Mexico are part of the countries that have agreed to receive immigrants who are not their citizens.

Strong climbing

Possible agreements with African countries mark a strong escalation in the administration’s efforts to fulfill their promise of mass deportations and boost their self -exporting campaign.

In mid -March, more than 200 immigrants, the majority of Venezuelans, were sent to a maximum security prison in El Salvador, indicated by human rights violations.

The Trump government covered himself in an old law to expel the Central American country to the alleged criminals without the right to an audience, which has earned him several demands in federal courts.

Libya is an important transit point for migrants to Europe and operates numerous detention centers for refugees and migrants.

Amnesty International described these “horrible” and “hell” places in a 2021 report, which found evidence of “sexual violence against men, women and children.”

The stage in Libya

In particular, Libya’s choice is especially painful, since the country is a real black hole for migrant human rights. The International Organization of Migration has denounced those in the country. Media such as the CNN revealed on the ground the drama of the auction of migrants and refugees who arrive in the country trying to cross Europe.

Survivors rescued by the NGO doctors without borders (MSF) in the Mediterranean Sea the hell they have suffered in their path, especially in Libya. That’s where Trump intends to take these people.
