After warm days, the harsh turnover in the weather: SHMI draws attention to another unpleasant phenomenon!

At night on Friday, there may be a ground frost in most of the territory, which can damage vegetation. This is pointed out by the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) in the issued 1st degree warning. The warning is valid from midnight to Friday afternoon.

“At a height of 5 cm above the surface, it is expected to reach the minimum air temperature up to minus 2, in the north minus 5 degrees Celsius,” The meteorologists specify in the warning that applies to the entire territory of the Slovak Republic, with the exception of some districts in the southwest and southeast of the country. The warning of ground frost will also apply on Saturday night.
