Iran’s Foreign Minister Abás Araqchí arrived in New Delhi after his passage through Islamabad, in an attempt to mediate in the crisis that India and Pakistan are going through, aggravated since Wednesday following an Indian air attack in the neighboring country. The head of the Iranian diplomacy arrived at the nation led by Narendra Modi after passing through Pakistan, where he met with Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, in Islamabad, as well as with the Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar. In those meetings, Tehran offered his mediation to contain the escalation between both nuclear powers. The official visit takes place in the midst of an escalation of tension between India and Pakistan, after an Indian military offensive launched on Wednesday against Pakistani territory, in response to the attack perpetrated in April in the Kashmir administered by India, which left 26 dead and revived the confrontations on the border.
