João Fonseca It’s out From the Masters 1000 of Rome, disputed in the clay. On the morning of Thursday (8), the Brazilian was eliminated by Hungarian Fabian Marozsannumber 61 of the world ranking, in the debut for the competition.
The young tennis player lost two sets to zerowith partials of 6/3 and 7/6. That was the third defeat followed by João (The first was in the second round of Madrid Open and the second at Estoril Challenger debut), the worst sequence since July 2024.
Members of the green and yellow movement was present in the stands, singing corners for the Brazilian. As on other occasions, the fans made a lot of noise.

With the departure of the Masters 1000 from Rome, Fonseca can compete in the ATP 500 of Hamburg, Germany, which starts on May 16. The tournament is the last before Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of the year.
