Velvet Rudá vs. autumn velvet
There is no velvet like a velvet. Red velvet is larger, which means it grows 2 to 4 millimeters. It is clearly velvety and appears in spring on sunny areas.
However, her relatives, the autumn velvet, are significantly smaller. The eye is almost invisible because it grows only 0.2 to 0.3 millimeters. It is especially active in summer and autumn, in tall grass.
While the velvet of the red does not ignore man or animals and feeds on small insects, or their larvae parasitize on invertebrates, the autumn velvet can parasitize on all mammals, including humans. Just bite!
So if you meet these tiny red spiders in these months, it is definitely red velvet, which will not hurt you. There is no need to dispose of them.
You can quite easily wash away the harmless velvet with a stream of water, sweep and then wipe the surfaces. Alternatively, if necessary and you can find them inside the apartment at the balcony door, you can remove them manually by a broom or vacuum cleaner, or even dispose of products designed to fight mites. However, these products may be unsuitable for use in households with children, animals, or if you have an edible plant around.
Velvets in the apartment and in the garden
Red velves do not really pose any health risk at all, do not bring diseases and do not survive in households. The only thing that can cause your household is a red spot on the floor if you try to get rid of them in some unnight way.
Even the autumn velvet will not head to your home. It’s too dry for them. They mostly thrive in the lawn and higher stands. In autumn, autumn velves can cause unpleasant bitches that look like a rash in autumn and animals.
Common repellents apply to these mites. If you appear in your garden, then do not hesitate to use mites that are sold in hobby markets and gardening needs. You will find a wide range of products that you can apply to the lawn. But read well how and when to apply the product not only for maximum efficiency but also safety.
