The relationship between the government and the assembly is marked by tensions since 2023, when Raquel took over the management and the deputy became president of the house. Former party colleagues, the two became political disaffected in the first year of the term.
At the end of March, Deputy Alberto Feitosa (PL), opponent of Raquel, presented a proposal to increase from 0.8% to 2% of net current revenue the percentage intended for imposing amendments, ie, compulsory execution by the government, more than doubling the amount.
